On March 24 and 25, a two-day training session oft the Chinese Qualisino quality association took place in Hangzhou.

On the training course, Mr Holz from Qualisurfal chairmen and co-managing director of IFO, Ms. Li Yuan from Qualisino as well as Mr. Ding and Mr. Crane from the IFO lab passed on their knowledge of quality assurance in surface finishing processes.

The 52 participants took advantage of the time between lectures and specialist contributions to exchange experiences and information After the meeting, all participants were able to take a look at the practical lab operation by visiting the Laboratory of IFO China, where test equipment and laboratory methods were presented in detail.

Qualisino ist the general licensee in China for the internationally recognized quality marks QUALICOAT and QUALANOD.

QUALISTEELCOAT has released version 4.0 of their specifications. Meanwhile, more than 80 certified coating companies in 12 countries hold this quality label and about 100 coating systems of 25 material suppliers have been approved. The main objective was to improve structure and readability. Moreover, further coating systems have been adopted and an appendix about the implementation of EN 1090 has been added. The Executive Board of Qubus GmbH and Ifo GmbH in Schwäbisch Gmünd have granted power of attorney to Nicole Kässer, head of commercial administration.

Since 2007 Nicole Kässer has been responsible for the joint administration of the two tightly-knit enterprises. For four years, she has been heading the commercial administration of the owner-managed service providers in surface engineering and is particularly responsible for the organization, management and controlling of the entire commercial administration as well as for calculation, controlling and budgeting.

The previous head of the body of experts, research and development has been appointed member of the executive board from 1^st August 2016 and took over the management of the worldwide acting testing institute together with Michael Müller, co-founder and managing partner of Ifo. Marc Holz, graduate chemist, thereby succeeds Hans Pfeifer who hands over the management of the institute due to his age.
