Condensation water atmosphere test with 0.2 l or 2.0 l sulphur dioxide in acc. with DIN EN ISO 3231 or DIN 50018 (Kesternich)

Developed by Wilhelm Kesternich in 1951, the Kesternich test examines the corrosion behaviour of metallic or non-metallic coatings under the influence of sulphur dioxide. The test specimens are placed in a chamber with warm, humid air in combination with sulphur dioxide and left there for a defined time. Apart from the addition of sulphur dioxide, the environmental conditions are quite similar to that of the condensation water test.
